Sažetak: U periodu 1989‒2019. godine dogodile su se znatne promjene u etničkoj strukturi stanovništva Uzbekistana, prvenstveno u brojnosti i teritorijalnom razmještaju različitih etničkih grupa. U radu je izvršena komparativna analiza nacionalne strukture stanovništva Uzbekistana u 1989. godini (na osnovu rezultata posljednjeg popisa održanog u Sovjetskom Savezu) i u 2019. godini (prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku Republike Uzbekistan). Izvršena je klasifikacija deset najbrojnijih etničkih grupa u Uzbekistanu prema promjenama u posmatranom periodu izraženim u apsolutnim i relativnim pokazateljima. Analizirane su, takođe, i promjene koje su se dogodile u geografskom rasporedu ključnih etničkih grupa u posljednjih 30 godina na nivou glavnih administrativno-teritorijalnih jedinica: 12 regiona, Republike Karakalpakstan i samog grada Taškenta.

Abstract: During the 1989‒2019 periods, there were noticeable changes in the ethnic composition of the population of Uzbekistan, in the size and territorial structure of various ethnic groups of the republic. The article provides a comparative analysis of the national composition of the population of Uzbekistan in 1989 (according to the results of the last All-Union population census) and 2019 (according to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan). The ten largest ethnic groups of the population of the country are grouped according to the characteristics of changes in the absolute and relative numbers in the considered time period. The geography of the settlement of key ethnic groups in the republic and its changes over the past 30 years in the context of the main administrative-territorial regions ‒ 12 regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the city of Tashkent were also analyzed.
